The Divided Nation Event
The nation stands divided. The banners are raised. The war for control has begun.
The Divided Nation Event is an all-new, large-scale faction warfare campaign in War and Peace: Civil War Clash, where Commanders pledge allegiance to either the Union or the Confederacy and fight across a nation engulfed in civil war!

Across 7 shifting regions, the frontlines move constantly as both factions clash for territorial dominance. Every battle contributes to the war effort, every region shapes the balance of power, and every Commander plays a role in deciding the outcome.
When the final front falls silent, only one faction will remain in control of the nation.
Which side will you choose?
Event Structure
The Divided Nation Event unfolds across a 9-day campaign divided into three distinct phases. From choosing your allegiance to battling across contested regions and claiming final rewards, each phase plays an important role in the overall war effort.
NOTICE: Participation Requirement!
Only Commanders who have reached Fort Level 20 or higher are eligible to enlist and participate in The Divided Nation
Enlistment Phase
Before the campaign begins, every eligible Commander must choose a faction and prepare for the coming conflict.
This is your opportunity to decide which side of the war you will fight for and organize your defenses before the first battles begin.

Commanders may enlist in either:
- The Union
- The Confederacy
Once selected, your faction cannot be changed for the remainder of the event.
During this phase, Commanders must also prepare a Defensive Garrison that will automatically defend against enemy attacks throughout the campaign.

Campaign Phase
Once the war begins, the battlefield opens across seven regions. Throughout the week, regions become active on a rotating schedule, creating new battlefronts where both factions compete for control.

During this phase, Commanders:
- Spend Marching Orders to battle opposing faction players in Contested Regions
- Earn Campaign Points for their faction
- Earn Valor Points for personal progression
- Capture regions with their faction and secure the Grand Finale Reward
This is the primary gameplay phase of the event, and where the outcome of the war is decided.
Claim Phase
When the campaign concludes, all regions are locked, and no further battles can be fought.

The faction controlling the most regions is declared victorious. Final rewards are distributed based on faction performance, regional participation, and individual rankings.
Choosing a Faction
The first decision of the campaign is also the most important.
Before the war begins, every Commander eligible for participation (Minimum Fort Level 20), must pledge allegiance to either the Union or the Confederacy. This choice determines your faction identity, the players you will face in battle, and the side you will contribute to throughout the event.

The Union

Fight to preserve the nation through unity, coordination, and organized military strength.
The Confederacy

Fight for independence and regional control while challenging the balance of power across the battlefield.
Once chosen:
- Your faction is locked for the duration of the event
- You will only battle players from the opposing faction
Choose carefully: The decision cannot be reversed once the campaign begins.
Determination Bonus
No war is ever perfectly balanced. To help maintain competitive gameplay, the event includes a faction-balancing mechanic known as Determination.
The faction with fewer participants receives a Determination bonus for the duration of the event.

For example, if one faction significantly outnumbers the other, victories by the smaller faction may contribute additional Campaign Points toward regional control, helping keep the campaign competitive.
Important: Determination affects Campaign Points only and does not increase Valor Point gains.
Even a smaller force can still influence the outcome of the war.
The Campaign Map
The war unfolds across a large campaign map representing seven major fronts of the conflict. Each region becomes active according to a schedule, creating shifting battlefields throughout the event.

As regions open and close, control of the map changes based on battle outcomes. No single region determines victory; success comes from consistent participation across the entire campaign.
The map displays:
- Active battlefields
- Regional timers
- Current faction control / Campaign Status
Every region has the potential to become a turning point in the war.
Contested Regions
When a region becomes active, it enters a Contested state. During this period, select the contested region to attack the players from the opposing faction and compete for control.

Every victory contributes toward your faction's control of that region while also advancing your personal milestone progression.
Battles & Matchmaking
Combat within the Divided Nation Event follows a dedicated ruleset separate from standard State-map warfare. While the combat is fierce and instantaneous, your forces will suffer no casualties outside of the event, regardless of victory or defeat.
These instantaneous clashes are designed to test your pure tactical superiority and are determined by comparing the sheer strength and composition of the opposing formations.
Launching an Attack
Entering a contested region opens the deployment screen, where Commanders are presented with a list of enemy targets.

Matchmaking is based primarily on Combat Power to ensure fair and competitive encounters. If no suitable opponent is available within your bracket, the search range is expanded automatically.
After selecting a target, Commanders spend Marching Orders to launch an attack.

A temporary cooldown timer also exists as a protection between the attacker and the defeated target, preventing the same player from being repeatedly defeated within a short period.
Recon
The Recon feature allows Commanders to refresh their available opponents and search for more favorable matchups.

- 3 Recon refreshes are available for free each day
- Additional refreshes cost Gold
- Winning a battle automatically refreshes the target list
Using Recon strategically can help maximize both victories and Campaign Point gains.
Marching Orders
Marching Orders are the primary resource used to participate in combat during the Divided Nation Event. Every attack requires Marching Orders, making them one of the most important resources throughout the campaign.

Marching Orders can be obtained from:
- Daily Task Threshold Chests
- Event Milestone rewards
- Special Deals and Free Pack in the Divided Nation Shop screen

Battle
Battles are fully automated and resolved instantly. Once an attack begins, the result is immediately calculated without additional manual input.
Because these encounters act as specialized tactical engagements, your troop counts outside the event remain unaffected by the outcome of event battles, allowing you to fight fiercely without the fear of permanent casualties.

What Applies
The following elements contribute to battle outcomes:
- Commanders
- Commander Skills
- Talents
- Commander Equipment
What Does Not Apply
To maintain a balanced competitive environment, several normal sources of power are excluded:
- Alliance bonuses
- Research bonuses
- Most building bonuses
- Reinforcements
Victory depends primarily on formation strength, Commander development, and troop composition.
Divided Nation Battle Boosters
Special single-use and event-only versions of battle boosters can be equipped for both offense and defense during the event.

Players may also enable an automatic-use option when setting their Defensive Garrison, allowing equipped boosters to be consumed automatically during defensive battles whenever available.
Battle Results
Campaign Points determine which faction controls a region.
Valor Points contribute to personal milestone rewards.
Victory
Winner receives both Campaign Points and Valor Points. The total is determined by two factors:
- The difference in power between the attacker and the defender.
- The Determination bonus, which gets applied automatically if there is a big difference between the two factions.
- Valor Points are affected by Power difference, and the total received from a battle can range from +6 to +16
Defeat
- +2 Valor Points
Region Victory Conditions
When the regional timer expires, the faction with the highest Campaign Point total captures the territory and earns Region Capture Rewards.

Defensive Garrison
Your Defensive Garrison represents a strategic snapshot of your forces that automatically defends your position whenever another Commander attacks you.

Unlike traditional gameplay, assigning troops to a garrison does not remove them from other activities, nor does it expose them to actual losses. Your troops remain safely available for normal gameplay and event attacks.
The Garrison:
- Defends automatically when targeted
- Can be updated at any time during the event
- Uses your selected Commanders and troops
Keep in mind that while event battles are risk-free, troop losses sustained outside the event (in standard world-map warfare) can affect your available garrison strength. If changes occur, the game will notify you that your setup may require attention.
Maintaining a strong garrison is just as important as building an effective attacking formation.
Victory Conditions
The faction controlling the most regions wins the campaign.
If both factions control the same number of regions:
- Total Campaign Points are used as the first tiebreaker.
- If still tied, the faction that most recently secured a regional victory is declared the winner.
Spoils of War
Members of the victorious faction receive the Spoils of War, containing premium rewards worthy of a successful campaign.
Veteran's Pension
Members of the opposing faction receive the Veteran's Pension, rewarding their participation and service throughout the war.
Rewards
Valor Milestones
While Campaign Points help your faction capture territory, Valor Points track your individual contribution throughout the event.

Every battle grants Valor Points, allowing active Commanders to progress through a dedicated milestone track and earn valuable rewards regardless of which faction ultimately wins the war.
Valor Gains
Victory
- Amount of Valor Points for Victory is affected By Power Difference between the Attacker and Defended and ranges between +6 and +16
Defeat
- +2 Valor Points
Consistent participation is the key to maximizing your milestone rewards.
Region Capture Rewards
Every contested region offers rewards for the faction that successfully secures control.
When a regional timer expires, the faction with the highest Campaign Point total captures the territory and earns Region Capture Rewards.

To qualify for these rewards, Commanders must contribute at least 1 Campaign Point within that region before the timer expires.
Even a single successful victory can secure eligibility and contribute to your faction's success.
Leaderboard Rewards
The highest-performing Commanders across both factions who reached the last event milestone earn additional rewards through the Top 100 Leaderboard!

Only the most effective Commanders will secure a place among the campaign's elite.
Grand Finale Reward
When the final battle ends, the winner is decided.

The faction controlling the most regions across the campaign is declared victorious and receives the highest tier of rewards.
Tips for Success
Victory in the Divided Nation Event requires more than simply winning battles. Consistent participation and a well-maintained garrison can make the difference between victory and defeat.
- Enlist early and prepare your Defensive Garrison before the campaign begins
- Participate regularly as new regions become active throughout the week
- Use Recon strategically to find favorable matchups
- Keep your Defensive Garrison updated if your troop count changes
- Contribute to every contested region whenever possible
- Focus on Valor Milestones to maximize personal rewards
- Spend Marching Orders wisely, as they are limited throughout the event
The nation has split in two. Seven regions will decide its fate. The war will be won through coordination, timing, and relentless engagement across the battlefield.
Choose your allegiance. Command your forces. And carve your legacy in The Divided Nation.
