March and Town Officers: Multiple Commanders Feature

We’re excited to introduce a powerful new feature that adds greater control and strategic depth to your marches: Multiple Commanders per March. You can now assign up to three commanders to any march—one Primary Commander and up to two additional March Officers, each contributing unique bonus effects. This same system applies to Town Defense, where commanders support your Sheriff as Town Officers.

Whether you want to fine-tune your tactics or boost your resource gathering, here’s everything you need to know:

March Officers: How It Works

  • When preparing a march, you can assign a:
          -     Primary Commander: Contributes all bonuses (stats, talents, equipment).

  • 2nd & 3rd March Officers: Contribute only talent-based bonuses. They do not gain XP from the march.

  • Flexibility: Marches can be sent with just the Primary Commander, as before, or you can add one or two extra March Officers, depending on your unlocked slots. As previously, a march cannot be started without the Primary Commander.

  • Reusability: Officers assigned to an ongoing march (including secondary and tertiary) cannot be reused until they return.

Unlocking Extra Commander Slots

You’ll start with one commander slot by default. Additional slots become available as you progress:

  • Default ->  Begin with one commander slot.

  • 2nd Commander Slot → Unlocked at Castle Level 10

  • 3rd Commander Slot → Unlocked through the brand-new Academy research tree: Logistics

March Presets

  • Presets now support 1, 2, or 3 commanders, reflecting your unlocked slots.

  • You can research the March Preset in your College and unlock up to 10 March Presets.

Start March and Officer Assignment Flow

  • Starting an Attack, Rally, or Gathering march will open a revamped Select Troops popup.

  • Tap an officer slot to open the Commander List popup.

  • Sort commanders by Power, Level, or Rarity.

  • Use View to inspect, tweak, or upgrade a commander before assigning.

  • After you choose your preferred March Officer, press Confirm to place a commander in a slot.

  • Activate boosters directly from the Start Match Menu with the + icon; all active march related boosters will be displayed.

  • Check the March Stats icon for an overview of your march setup.

  • Check your March Capacity Balance. Here you have the option to lock in place the chosen ratio for all future marches during your current session (until you log out).

  • As a final step, select your desired troops and start your march.

Rallies

  • Only the rally leader’s officers provide bonuses:

    • Primary Officer: Full bonuses

    • 2nd & 3rd Officers: Talent bonuses only

  • Other rally participants’ officers do not contribute.

Town Officers: How your Town Defense Works

  • Setup: Visit the Fort and select your Sheriff and Town Officers from the Combat tab.

  • Auto-Assignment: Deputies are assigned from the same screen as the Sheriff. When the Town Officer slots unlock, the best available commanders are auto-assigned. You can replace an officer, but not remove one.

  • Bonuses:

    • Sheriff: Full bonuses

    • First Town Officer (Castle Level 10) and Second Town Officer (via research): Talent bonuses only; do not receive XP.

  • Availability: If a Sheriff or Officer is assigned to a march, you’ll receive a warning. The system will auto-assign the next best free commander to Town Defense.

Reports and Visibility

  • Battle Reports: Now detailed contributions from all assigned officers (March & Town).

  • Town Defense: Battle Reports include a section for Sheriff and Deputies.

  • Telegraph (incoming marches):

  • At Level 18: Shows whether incoming marches have officers. At Level 20: Displays officer icons (if any).

  • Commander info has been removed by design from the ongoing marches section

Key Rules & Notes

  • Commanders (Officers) do not gain XP from marches or battles.

  • A commander cannot be assigned to more than one role at a time (including March/Town overlap).

  • Officer slots are optional—you can send a march with only one commander if desired.

  • If no available commander can fill the Sheriff slot, it will display “No Commander.”

With the Multiple Commanders feature, your marches and town defense become more flexible, strategic, and rewarding. Unlock new depths in your gameplay as you build, assign, and optimize your officer lineup!
